Storage Tips

You probably haven't given much thought to the cleanliness of your storage units, we put our things away and forget about them. However, when you move out, it is your responsibility to clean your unit,  so here are a few tips to make that task easier:

COVER THE FLOOR OF THE UNIT

Place cardboard or a tarp on the concrete floor before moving in your contents. This protects your belongings from scratches as well as keeping the floor clean so you don't have as much to clean when you move out. This is a must for cars, boats and RVs.

USE PLASTIC BINS

Opt for plastic bins with lids over cardboard boxes. Cardboard is ok,, but it attracts dust, bugs, spiders, and rodents.  Plastic seals out dirt and most pests and can be easily wiped clean. Vacuum-sealed bags further protect clothing, linens, and towels while maximizing space in your unit.

CHECK YOUR UNIT

Regular cleanings protect your belongings in self storage and keeps dust, dirt, and pests from damaging your household and business items.
